Passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mrs. Marjorie Marie Thomas, age 79 years.
Marjorie was born February 5, 1940 in Springdale, NL to Reginald and Ida Locke. She met the love of her life, Basil in 1953. Together they raised 6 children.
She had an outstanding life and she loved to cook. Sewing and knitting was her hobby and reading her bible every chance she got. She gave her heart to the Lord many years ago and with all the struggles and trials, she never gave up on her faith and kept trusting in the Lord.
She is predeceased by her husband, Basil and daughter, Phronie; parents, Reginald and Ida Locke; brother, Bennett; sister, Ivy and granddaughter, Kathrine.
Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her children, Wanetta (Vaden), Judy (Perry), Scott (Effie), Vincent (Doris), Jimmy, Barry (Kathy); 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Vivian (Frank), Archie (Janet), Velma, Rowella (Arthur), Audrey (Ross), Kevin (Kim), Victor (Betsy), Karen (Lee), Rose, Peter (Evelyn), Austin (Shelly) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Public visitation will take place from the Pentecostal Church, Brown’s Arm on Tuesday, February 26th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will take place from the church on Wednesday, February 27th at 2 PM. Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
