It is
with heavy hearts that the family of Kevin Kinnear McGaghey
and Alberta “Beth” Ellen McGaghey announces their
passing on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at their home in Rothesay, NB.
Kevin was born in Atholville, NB, on July 18, 1928; he was the son of
the late Perley and Ethel (Douglas) McGaghey. Beth was born in Norton,
NB, on May 14, 1941; she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara
(Durnnian) Dunlap.
Kevin and Beth are survived by their loving daughter Ellen McGaghey
(John Grech) of Mount Forest, Ontario; grandchildren: Sidney Grech and
Tyler Smith. Kevin is also survived by his daughters: Maura
McGaghey-Gahan of Montecito, California and Cherlyn McGaghey of
Toronto, Ontario; son Michael McGaghey and his partner Patricia
Harrison of Hamilton, Ontario; brother Ulton McGaghey and his wife
Theresa; sister Merlene Arsenault; and grandchildren: Cory Lanteigne
(Marsha), Sherry (Richard) Brown, and Taylor, Austin and Mackenzie
Wilson. Besides their parents, Kevin was predeceased by his
brother-in-law Lou Arsenault.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home
(506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will
be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. As per
the family’s wishes, a private memorial service will be
held. Interment will take place in the spring at Riverbank
Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Kevin and Beth may be made to the
Gideon’s, War Amps or to the memorial of the
donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and
