N. Lee Langille
1941-2019
It is with heavy hearts we announce the
passing of Norman Lee Langille, age 77,
of Amherst, NS. Lee passed away peacefully on Thursday,
February 7, 2019 at Gables Lodge, Amherst, surrounded by his loving
family.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of
Agnes (Thompson) Langille and the late Norman Langille.
Lee always kept active. He
loved gardening, and helped many people care for their
gardens. He was well known in the Oxford and Windsor
Exhibitions where he won many ribbons and prizes for his gardening
talents. He enjoyed being around friends, curling and
bowling when able. He loved his children dearly.
He always loved spending time with and hearing about his grandchildren
and great grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he will be
sadly missed by his children Bonnie (Shawn) McLellan, Springhill, NS,
Tammy (Ron) Martin, Amherst, NS, Carla (Ray) Schumann, Amherst, NS,
Holly (Neil) Mitchell, Calgary, AB, and Kenneth (Cheryl) Langille,
Riverview, NB; their mother Judy (Atkinson) Langille, Amherst, NS; 10
grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings Wayne, Ralph (Colleen),
Darlene (Rollie) O’Blenis, and Cyril (Peggy), all of Windsor,
NS.
In addition to his father, he was
predeceased by brother Garry.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home,
70 Church St., Amherst,NS (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will be
held on Monday, February 11, 2019 from Noon until 2 pm, followed
immediately at 2 pm by his funeral service, Life Celebrant Scott
Balser officiating. Burial will take place in the Amherst Cemetery at
a later date.
Should friends desire, memorial
contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetes, or the charity of
your choice.
