TURZA, Vincent Stephen passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at Hampton Terrace long term care residence in Burlington. He was born March 29, 1931 in Hamilton to Slovakian parents Stephen and Margaret. Loving husband for over 62 years to Ann (nee Pettitt). Inspiration to son Steven (Alison) and constant support to daughter Susan (Clark). Wonderful grandfather to Renee and David.
Also left to mourn is his sister Helen Stross (Richard). Pre-deceased by two close brothers-in-law; John Pettitt (the late Mary), Fred Pettitt (Pam). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
For enjoyment he loved fishing and travelling abroad. He was the pioneer who drove his family across every corner of North America, camping and exploring every interesting opportunity. He was employed with International Harvester (later renamed J.I. Case) for over 30 years.
Vince was loved by all who knew him. He was interesting, engaging, knowledgeable and active. He will be deeply missed by his family and relatives and others that had the pleasure of knowing him. Private service on January 12, 2019, at Bay Gardens Funeral Home with burial at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery.
