It is with great sadness that on January 5, 2019, Sharon N. Fisher, passed away at age 47. Sharon was born on July 26 at Kenora, Ontario and lived in Wabaseemoong for almost all her life. Sharon was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandma, auntie, a great auntie, niece, cousin, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, and a friend.
She will be dearly missed by her sisters; Brenda (Gordon) Halverson, Glenda (Gary) Fisher, and Jennifer Fisher, and Sharon’s common-law husband Nick (Chico) Smith. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children; Dimitri, Garnet, Trevor, Nathan and Marvin and by her grandchildren; Miles, Leroy and Lorenzo. She will also be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews; Sylvia, Clifford, Ryan, Jeremy, Billy, Robert, Sherry (Joe) Fisher, Isaac (Martella),Thelma, Roderick, Evaline, Brendan, Terrian, Blair, Shelley, great nieces and nephews; Joey, Jaren, Montana, Max, Hunter, Kayden, Curtis, Zaylen, Reagan, Ryus, Reeve, Raven, Dolcey, Chanelle, Dennis, Joanna, Aleisha, Harvin, Keelyn, Cayden, Ethan, Glenna, Mariucz, Kadafi, Tatianna, Jediah, Tyrese, Jake, Amariah, Amelia, Monique, Carman, Zack, Athena, and Kingston. She will be lovingly remembered by Aunties Irene Scott, Celene Scott, Eliza Scott and Rose Fisher, uncles; Jimmy Fisher and Martin Scott. Sharon also leaves behind numerous cousins, in-laws and friends and by her best friend Brenna Boyd.
Sharon is pre-deceased by her parents Cornelius Sr, Josephine Fisher, her sister Karen, her brother Cornelius Jr, her children Mable and Nick, her nephew Charlie, niece Angeline, maternal grandparents Alice and John Scott, and paternal grandparents Peter and Sophie Fisher. Also, pre-deceased are Aunties; Cecilia Scott, Harriet Scott, Emma Fisher, Eva Fisher, Mary Fisher and Virginia Fisher, Uncles; George Scott, Archie Scott, Robert Scott, John Fisher, Charlie Fisher, Henry Fisher, Archie Fisher, George Fisher and Daniel Fisher, and many cousins.
Sharon will always be loved and missed by all who knew her. She will be remembered for the sound of her beautiful laughter and her wonderful sense of humour. She had an awesome personality and some family members would refer to her as “Crazy Sharon” or “Sharon Noonie”. Sharon had a loving heart for family and friends. She very much enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching movies, blueberry picking, driving around, listening to music (Ernest Monias was a favorite), spending time with loved ones, joking and making everyone laugh.
Sharon’s family like to extend a warm welcome to everyone to the wake and funeral services. Wake Services will begin on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Sharon Fisher’s residence beginning at 10:00 am, then the Whitedog School Gymnasium. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Whitedog School Gymnasium with Pastor Frank Kowal officiating with burial to follow.
The family would also like to thank the First Response Team, the Treaty Three Police, family and friends for all of the times they have offered care and support to Sharon in time of need. Gichi Miigwech.
