February 18, 1941 – January 18, 2019

The passing of Sharon (Stafford) Armstrong, wife of the late William “Bill” Armstrong, occurred on Friday January 18, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 18, 1941 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Aletha (Herbert) Stafford. Sharon worked as a Processing Aid at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital and worked in Housekeeping at Pine Grove Nursing Home

Sharon is survived by her daughter Cheryl Pearce (Mike); sons Michael Murray (Joanne), Rick Murray (Carol), Peter Murray (Angela) and step-son Gary Armstrong (Heidi); sisters Judy Wright (Duane), Donna Arsenault and Cindy Allen (Terry); brother Sid Stafford (Brandy); eleven grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by granddaughter Sarah Murray and her brother in-law Art Arsenault.

As per Sharon’s request, a graveside service will take place for family and friends at the Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the New Brunswick Lung Association. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
