LEHMANN , Rosina Marie (nee Tschirhart)
February 4, 1924 – January 10, 2019
On January 10, 2019 at Columbia Forest Long Term Care residence, Rose passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family members. In her 95th year, she was the last surviving member of her family from Maryhill.
Rose was predeceased by her parents Tekla (nee Bitschy) and Simon Tschirhart, her siblings Raymond, Kay, Stuart, Stan, Ralph, Peter, Frank, and Madeline, her daughter Therese, husband Frank, grandson Michael, and more recently her daughter Elizabeth.
Survived by her children Doug and Tina (Casselli), Pat and John Lackenbauer, Dave and Jane (Bannon), Peggy, Dan and Laurie (Hunter), and Ann and Dave Snider.
Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Susan, Steven, Sonia, Jason, Lori, Ben, Phil, Paul, Abby, Ashley, and Brian.
Great-Grandma Rosie will be sadly missed by Gabriel, Kaylee, Sarah, Madeline, Fiona, Avery, Isaac, Sophia, Sebastian, Evan, Eden, Kaitlyn, Emma, Matthew, Meghan, Chelsea, Jocelyn, and Jack.
Rose was a long-time member of St. Teresa’s parish and the Catholic Women’s League. Her strong faith guided her through every part of her life and was a reflection of everything she did.
Of all her accomplishments, she was best known to family and friends as a devoted home maker, wife and mother. As her children grew she developed talents for sewing, knitting, cake decorating, and along with the CWL ladies, quilting. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren cherish their special relationship. Rose’s family is truly her legacy.
Rose’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener 519-748-8467. Parish prayers 7 pm Sunday evening. The Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 14, 2019 at St. Teresa of Avila R.C. Church, 44 Leonard St., Kitchener followed by a reception in the church hall.
Interment Parkview Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Teresa of Avila, Kitchener or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
