Adams, Rodney – It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Rodney Harold Adams, 53 of New Annan on January 15th, 2019 in the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Tatamagouche, he was the loved son of Yvonne (George) Adams and the late Harold Adams. Rodney had a great love for the outdoors, he enjoyed logging in the woods, hunting, fishing and four-wheeling with his family. Rodney has had the pleasure of going moose hunting in Cape Breton 5 times with his family and he always looked forward to sharing the stories about the hunt with his brother Stephen and sharing a laugh afterwords. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather. Besides his mother, Rodney is survived by his wife of over 35 years, the former Patricia Flanagan; son Cole Adams; daughters, Rebecca Adams; Laura (George) Baxter; Abigael Adams (Zachary Williams); grandchildren, Addienna; Ryder; Cooper; Audrina; Colt; Avalynn; brother, Stephen (Laurel); sisters, Wendy (Ron) Nalewajek; Sheila (Warren) Patriquin; Barbara (Stephen) Rushton. He was predeceased by his father, Harold Adams. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 17 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home, Wentworth (902-447-2930). Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 18, in the New Annan Meeting House, 1128 Warwick Mountain Road (the former West New Annan United Church).
