Life’s journey ended on January 24th, 2019 for Robert L. Charlton of Woodmans Point, NB. Bob was born in Hoyt, NB; a son of the late John and Gertrude Charlton. Bob is survived by his wife Terry Elizabeth Charlton, son Lloyd (Kathleen) Charlton, daughters Elizabeth Shepherd (Robert), Barbara Lamb and Cheryl Green (Rob), step-sons Shawn Melvin (Krista), Keith Melvin (Sacha), and Jason Melvin (Tara Osborne), brothers Kenneth Charlton (Dorothy) and Ed Charlton (Lynn), sister-in-law Patricia Charlton, 9 grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Bob was pre-deceased by his sister Ruth Doiron, brother James Charlton, and granddaughter Jessica Charlton. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Regional Hospital, and special thanks to Shannex – Tucker Hall for the wonderful care given to Bob. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Monday from 10am-12pm, with a funeral service being held in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in the Blissville Baptist Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
