Robert Bob Allan Johnston 2019

OBITUARY
Robert “Bob” Allan Johnston
February 28, 1947 – December 30, 2018
Robert (Bob) Johnston of Bedford, N.S., passed away peacefully on December 30th surrounded by his wife of 49 years, Barbara (House), daughters Wendy (McCallum) and Meghan (Milloy) and brother Bill. Bob was a beloved father-in-law to Mike and Rob and loving Poppa to Duncan, Jack, Georgia, Oliver and Stella. He was a dedicated brother to Bill, and loving buddy to Harv.
A lifelong teacher, Bob touched thousands of students through his career with the HRSB, and shared all the most important life lessons with his own daughters & grandchildren.
Bob will be remembered for his love of literature, singing, sailing, musicals, judo, chocolate and stories, but mostly for his love for his girls –Turtle (Barbie), Wendy & Meghan — and his five prized grandchildren. The kindest and most selfless man we know, he will be greatly missed and always remembered.
A special thank you to Bob’s amazing team of friends, caregivers and Drs. Morehouse & Koller, who allowed the last few years of Dad’s life to be quite exceptional and joyous.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Snow’s Funeral Home on January 5th at 2 p.m. with a chocolate and joy-filled reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
