Obituary for Richard Kenneth Barton
Passed away suddenly at home as a result of a massive heart attack. Loving husband of Sari. Dear brother of Tom (Linda), Jim (Diane), and brother-in-law to Stephen Davis (Judy). Richard will be sadly missed by his best friends Sharon, Shaun, Linda, Pat, John and Jimi, as well as many nephews, nieces and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Doris Barton, brother Bob (Linda) and sisters Susan Wayne (Barry) and Diane. Richard was a plumber by trade, as were many generations in his family. He often bragged that they had over 100 years of experience between them. He also had a love for catch-and-release bass fishing. Family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 7 – 9 p.m. at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge. A second visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 9 – 10:45 a.m. at Calvary Pentecostal Assembly, 127 Hespeler Road, Cambridge with a Funeral Service to begin at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Williamsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Parkinson Society or to Calvary Pentecostal Assembly. Sari would like to extend a special thank you to all of the emergency response teams for their care and compassion while attending to Richard.
