It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and a good friend, Ralph McDonald Swain on January 26, 2019 in Kenora, Ontario.
Ralph was survived by sons: Curtis (Cynthia), Jeffery (Rene) and daughters: Kimberly (Kelsey), Jem, Drew and Ursula. Also mourning his passing are his beloved grandchildren, Austin, Alberta, Korelle, Kaleigh, Kerri-lyn, Khloe Giselle and baby Angel, Shania, Jonothan, Elora and great-granddaughter Addy. He is also survived by his siblings Delores (John), Doris (Norman), Douglas (Rosie), Jessie, Yvonne, Iris, Paula, Florence, brother Billy and niece Lina. As well as his best friend and cousin Fred Cameron.
Ralph was predeceased by his father, Eddie McDonald and his mother, Mary Ann (nee Kelly), son Dale and daughter Erica, brothers John, Jack, Jimmy and sister Bella
In his younger years, he loved rice picking, hunting, trapping, guiding and netting fish, he also had great artistic talent, his greatest passion was for his profession ‘carpentry’. He really enjoyed having his grandchildren come to visit, he boasted about them, they were his pride and joy. Ralph had many friends and really enjoyed visiting with them at bingo hall. He was humble, kind, enjoyed joking around and had a great sense of humour.
The Wake will start Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Wabaseemoong Community Hall, with funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 with Pastor Frank Kowal officiating the service.
We will miss you dearly but are assured that God has you in his hands.
The family would like to thank all the medical professional and staff who looked after our loved one in his time of need. We would also like to thank everyone who has come to be with us.
