1952-2019
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of
Peter Howard Hinkley of Saint John, NB on Monday, January 7, 2019 at
the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Brighton, England on August
20, 1952 he was the youngest son of the late Lionel and Irene (Rule)
Hinkley. A proud holder of the P. Log designation, Peter was most
recently employed at Leons, whom he held in great regard. A
passionate, lifelong and avid musician (Drums, Voice), well received
actor (Comedy, Drama, Musical Theatre), and well-loved figure in the
local scene. He is remembered with love by one son, Steven Hinkley
(Gaynor); his partner Sharon Hinkley, one brother, John Hinkley
(Brenda); two sisters, Cheryl Pickard (Ralph Stobbart) and Carmel
Sullivan; two granddaughters, Anicka and Elishka; and his nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his two
brothers, Dennis and David.
To honour Peter’s request there will be no
visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint
