Obituary of Maurice Tenborg
February 1, 1931 – January 28, 2019
With sadness, we announce the passing of Maurice Tenborg at the age of 87 years. Maurice was born and raised in the Dawson Creek area. He enjoyed music and performing, and could play almost any instrument. His woodworking talent was evident in the violins he made.
Maurice was predeceased by his wife Edith (2017) and his son Tom (2013). He is survived by his children, Linda (Rod) Tobin, Russell, and Laverne (Kelly) Wainman, and his grandchildren Lisa, Katy, Mark, Allison, Carrie, Emma and Theo. Also surviving are sisters Marjorie Hall, Henrietta Sluggett, Dorothy Guest, Carole (Charlie) Hamilton and Melvina (Dave) Lane; brothers Donald (Julie), Gary and Keith McKibben (Cathy), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Maurice will be fondly missed by Edith’s family, her three sons, David (Edie) , Steven (Shelly) and Roger (Charlene) Ungstad, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A family internment will be held at the Dawson Creek Cemetery at a later date.
