Mary Ernestine Sinclair (Stephens)
Mary Ernestine Sinclair (née Stephens) died peacefully surrounded by her family on January 10, 2019 at the age of 97. She was predeceased in 2009 by her husband, Peter Harold Sinclair. Mary is the loving Mother of Ian (Meg), Pat Waters (George), Charlotte McLaughlin (Patrick) and Rob (Deirdre, deceased). She is the cherished “Grandma” of Catherine (Matt), Stephen (Carla), Graham (Claire), Leslie (Adam), Mark (Stephanie), Carolyn (Andrew), Sarah, Lauren, Cora and Neala. She is also the proud Great-Grandmother of Belle, Isla, Alexandra, Emily, Norah, Cameron, Chelsea and Abigail. Mary is the dear sister of Robert Stephens (Clo) and Constance Shaw (deceased). She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa General Hospital, and all others who cared for her during her brief illness. In her great spirit of giving, Mary has donated her body to science.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19th at The Church of St Columba, 24 Sandridge Road, Manor Park, Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to Andrew Fleck Children’s Services, World University Services or The Church of St. Columba.
