MONTALBETTI, Marcella – Mrs. Marcella Montalbetti passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph on Thursday, January 24, 2019 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Carlo Montalbetti (1994). Loving mother of Mauro Montalbetti (Kathy). Cherished and proud Nonna of Michele (Aaron) and Derek (Ola) and step-Nonna of Jason (Kelly) and Amy (James). Bisnonna of Mikayla, James, Malachai, Maddox, Seth, Quinn and Parker Rose. Loved sister-in-law of Bianca Craboledda. Pre-deceased by her siblings Neves (late Angelo) Sartor and Nino Craboledda and her parents Matto and Maria Craboledda. Marcella immigrated to Canada in 1952 and continued her talent as a seamstress from Italy into her new life in Canada. She will be missed by all of her friends at St. Joseph’s Health Centre where she resided for the past 8 years. Friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 7p.m.-9p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11a.m. A luncheon will be held immediately afterwards in the Fellowship Lounge. Burial at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
