The death occurred, at the Palliative Care Unit of Community
Hospital, O’Leary on Friday, January 4, 2019, of Lorna Ivy
Gard, of Mill River East, aged 70, wife of the late Lloyd Gard. Lorna
was born in O’Leary on December 1, 1948, dear daughter of
Doris (Vincent) Phillips and the late Brenton Phillips.
Cherished mom to Lloydia (Kent) Smallman, Alma ; Donna
Dumville, Mill River East and Jeff (Francine), Mill River East. Loving
grandmother to Kenton (Ashton), Jason (Megan), Logan (Emmalee) and
Clay Smallman, Jessie Dumville and Tyson, Chandler and Brandon Gard
and great grandchild Oaklynn.
Dear sister to Ellen (Gary) Johnson, O’Leary;
Frances (Arthur) Lewis, Howlan; Iris (Kenny) Gairns, Stratford; Brenda
Phillips, Oakville, ON; Ronnie (Jodi) Phillips, O’Leary and
Paul (Heidi) Phillips, Cornwall. Sister in law to Marion (Fred)
Carver, Mill River East and Linda (Roland) Kinch, Mill River
East.
Lorna was predeceased by her father Brenton, husband Lloyd
(2005) and her father and mother in law Jim and Laura
Gard.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with visiting hours Monday from 2-4 & 7-9
pm. Funeral service on Tuesday at 11 am in the Chapel.
Interment in the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
In memory of Lorna, memorials to Palliative Care-Home Care,
O’Leary or Bloomfield United Church Cemetery would be
appreciated.
