Surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Stanley (2013). Loving mother of Trent (Susan), Stacy Schubert (Glenn), Chad (Vera), Tara Kowalik (Ray) and Gerd (Nancy). Proud grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 5. Lesley was predeceased by her parents William and Maud Cox and her sister Shirley Smith.
Lesley’s enthusiastic sense of adventure drew her to pursue many varied activities including canoe tripping, cross country skiing, synchronized swimming, skating, camping with her family and instituting the “before breakfast swims”. For her tireless and energetic contributions in bringing awareness of disabilities to school children across the GTA, she was awarded the Governor General’s Award for Excellence.
