June Elizabeth Card 1946 2019

Obituary of June Card
June Elizabeth Card, age 72, Falmouth, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on January 20, 2019 at the Hants Community Hospital. Born June 8, 1946, June was a daughter of the late Clifford and Edna (Smith) Sanford, Walton, NS.
A true Shore girl, June attended Hants North Rural High School until she moved to the booming metropolis of Truro and then Windsor. Soon she became a loving military wife, following her husband, Charlie, from post to post with kids and pets in tow. Upon settling in Falmouth, June became a fixture working at Ed Porter’s Corner Store, and later operating Junie’s Babysitting Services. June had many interests to enjoy her time-travelling to many cold hockey rinks and hot ballfields, attending dances and jam sessions with her “Diet 7 Up” bottle in her purse, her beach and backyard fires, her garage folk art, watching classic black and white movies and her beloved Toronto Blue Jays, especially when Edwing was playing.
June is survived by her loving husband, Charles, children Rick (Tracey), Yarmouth and Andy (Laureen), Victoria; grandchildren Ben, Dawson, and Abby; sisters Jean, (but everyone calls her Sis) and Barb.
She was predeceased by her siblings Annie, Bill, Phee, and Danny.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Serenity Funeral Homes, Coldbrook. A celebration of life will follow at a later date at the Falmouth Community Hall. Donations in memory of June may be made to the Falmouth Community Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
