1935-2019
Ketchabaw, Joseph William – Passed away peacefully, surrounded
by family, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday January 19,
2019 at the age of 83. Loving and devoted husband of Mary Ketchabaw
(nee Laur). Cherished father of Ann Davies (Brad), Gayle
Ketchabaw-McRae (Norm), and the late Mary-Lynn Poley. Proud
grandfather of Melissa Tate of Virginia, Joel Martin of Florida,
Amanda McRae of Trenton, Kaitlynn McRae of Cambridge, Adam Davies of
Ailsa Craig and great-grandfather of eight. Joseph will also be sadly
missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Hiram and Armeta Ketchabaw. Joseph was a
member of Mystic Tie Lodge #279, a member of the Preston Springs
Chapter #208 O.E.S, as well as a member of the South Waterloo Amateur
Radio Club. He enjoyed hobbies of woodworking, oil painting and was a
baseball player and enthusiast for his whole life. The family would
like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the
ICU at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. At Joseph’s request,
cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral
service. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the
Cambridge Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
