Joan P. Barry of Miramichi, N.B., passed away on Thursday January 10, 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
Born in Chatham, N.B., the daughter of the late Cecil and Bridget (Hallihan) Young.
Joan is survived by her daughters: Anne Dunn (Gary) of Miramichi, Mary Lou Barry (Chris) of Napan, sons: Peter Barry of Miramichi, Paul Barry (Kim) of Miramichi, James Barry (Lisa) of Saint John, Brian Barry (Natalie) of Fredericton, Bobby Barry (Janine) of Waterloo ON, grandchildren: Jennifer, Robbie, Ryan, Brian, Laura, Alicia, Jessie, Paul, Maggie, Regan, Ailidh, David, Kate, and Jayda. Great-grandchildren: Piper, Oliver, Finley, and Beth. She is also survived by her sister Burnice McEvoy (late Lloyd), Brothers: Billy Young (late Debbie), Peter Young, Carmen Young (Ann) and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert Barry, infant brother Peter, sister Ann Goodfellow and brother Cecil Young.
At her request there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday January 14, 2019 at 11am from St. Michael’s Basilica Miramichi with Fr. Paul Doucet officiating.
As an expression of sympathy, a donation may be made to St. Michael’s Basilica would be appreciated.
