James “Jim” “Woody” “Redder” Peter Robertson, age 70, of Stratford, passed away peacefully, with his loving wife by his side on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Stratford, son of the late Peter “Pete” and Marion (Miller) Robertson. Beloved husband of Phyllis (Solomon) Robertson of 46 years. Jim was the manager of Demerling Electric Supply for 50 years. In his spare time, Jim loved umpiring baseball and was an avid fisherman and photographer. He was a member of the ANAF Unit 261 (Stratford). Jim is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law; Sharon (Wayne) Ische, Fred (Sue) Solomon, Sheila (John) Daneluzzi and his many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Inez and Clayton Solomon. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. ANAF Unit 261 will hold a service at 5:45 p.m. A private family memorial service will take place.
