Jean Malcomson
MALCOMSON, Jean —
Passed away peacefully January 15, 2019. Beloved wife to Sam (Toddy, predeceased) for almost 60 years and much loved mother to Peter and Stephen (Heidi). Loving Gran to Daniel, Rebecca, Tabitha, Tyler, Nicole and Tanya. Fondly remembered by Cathy and Vicki. Predeceased by brothers Jim and Sean and sisters Madge and Betty. Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Jean worked at City Hall. After marrying Sam in 1953, Jean immigrated to Toronto in 1954 where she and Sam eventually settled in Thornhill and raised Peter and Stephen. Jean worked as a comptometer operator in the building industry, until her retirement. She enjoyed playing tennis, socializing with friends and visiting with her 6 grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held Saturday January 19, 11am followed by a memorial service at 12:30 – at the Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, ON. Refreshments to follow service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mackenzie Health Centre in Richmond Hill or Sick Kids Hospital.
