James “Jimmy” Blair
1953-2019
Blair, James
“Jimmy’, 65, of Antigonish and formerly
of Afton, passed away in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital,
Antigonish on January 24, 2019.
Born in Antigonish, he was son of
the late Frank and Helen (Wallace) Blair.
Jimmy was a hard worker. He worked
in construction most of his life. He had a great sense of humour,
loved to tease and tell jokes. He was a loving father and a generous
man to many. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, the great
outdoors, listening to and making Newfoundland music.
Jimmy is survived by his
partner, Joanne Kettle; sons, Billy; David and Tyson; daughters,
Tracy; Lillian and Christine; grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, James,
Melody, Brooklynn; sisters Frances (Jim) Parker, Bridgwater; Jean
Blair, Ontario; Beverly (Raymond) DeCoste, Antigonish; many cousins,
nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held
Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. in C.L. Curry Funeral
Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish, Funeral Mass will be held
Tuesday at 11:00am in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie, Reverend
John Barry presiding. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery,
Merland at a later date.
