James “Jim” Alphonsus Underhill
January 24, 1953 – January 30, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jim (Jimmy) Alphonsus Underhill at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
He was 66. Born in Blackville, NB on January 24, 1953 to Benedict (Dick) and Blanche Underhill.

Jim is survived by his wife, Lynn of 42 years. He leaves behind his son, Shaun (Lindsay); daughter, Kristi; and also his precious grandchildren; Ty, Logan, Eva and Sawyer.
He is also survived by his brothers; Benny (Mal), Alan (Heather); sisters, Marg Flinn (Duane), Ann Boies, Mary Estabrooks (Kenny) and Susan Underhill; several nieces and nephews.

Prior to Jim’s retirement, he worked for Bell Aliant for 30 years. When Jim wasn’t playing golf with his buddies he could be found at the rinks, rugby fields, soccer fields, dance studios or the Y watching his grandchildren.

Jim will always be remembered for his teasing and for telling it like it is and for always being there for anyone.

Jim’s family and friends are invited to gather at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2-4 pm for a Celebration of his Life.

The family would like to thank Dr. Anne Colpitts, Dr. Cheryl Rushton, the staff of 4 NW as well as Dr. Hull, the Neuro Team and nurses at the Saint John Regional Hospital for the excellent care they provided for Jim. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association. Personal condolences may be offered through
