Ivy Matchim December 6 1919 to January 18 2019

Ivy Matchim in her 100th year died peacefully with her family at her bedside. Predeceased by her parents George and Susannah Brown in 1964 and 1969 respectively. Her husband Frank, 1996; daughters-in-law Anna and Joan.
Leaving to mourn daughter Suzanne O’Neill (John) of Kitchener, ON, son Robert, Pouch Cove and son Doug (Ruby), St. John’s, grandchildren Robert (Donna), Pouch Cove, Debbie Matchim, Pouch Cove, Patrick (Kelly) O’Neill, Kitchener, Shawn (Jacqueline) O’Neill, Kitchener, Stephen (Cassidy) Matchim, Toronto, and six great-grandchildren.
We respectfully acknowledge the nursing staff and administrative people at Eastern Community Health, Chancellor Park, and St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their kindness, knowledge and compassion in her three month journey to her passing. We also acknowledge Ms. McDonald at Mr. Seamus O’Regan’s office for all her help and kindness.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday, January 22 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Eastport. In lieu of flowers donations in Ivy’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
