Irma GOSAU August 15 1938 January 5 2019 (age 80)

Irma was born in a small village in Latvia. She was 4th in the family of 9 children born to Albert & Maria Bleich. Her early life was very much affected by war, fleeing Latvia from invading Russians, on to Poland and then Germany. As a young teenager, her family immigrated to Canada. She met Gunter, her husband of 62 years in Regina, SK. They moved to Port Alberni where they had 4 children, Annemarie, Peter, Kathy & Andrew.
Irma was passionate about her family. She loved her 12 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. She enjoyed being a member of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her belief gave her strong faith that the earth will one day again be a paradise.
She requested no formal memorial service, only a gathering of family & friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Lynn, Denise & Maddy. Also, many thanks to the PD Dialysis Clinic.
As a family, we really appreciated the help provided by the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Donations made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada in Irma’s memory would be greatly appreciated www.kidney.ca
