Iris Rafuse
1927-2019
RAFUSE, Iris Madelyn -91 of Bridgewater, formerly of
Scarsdale, passed away January 23, 2019 in South Shore Regional
Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Parkdale, she was a daughter
of the late Roy and Althea (Awalt) Mosher. Iris was a member
of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale/Maplewood. She was a
Registered Nurse, and later became Secretary for Calvin L. Snyder
where she was employed for 60 years. She loved to cook and
bake and also loved hunting, fishing, boating and water
skiing. Her most important accomplishment was her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her
daughter Charmaine Wagner (Peter), Scarsdale; sister Melba
Sarty, Maplewood; grandchildren Sue Ellen Murphy (Sean),
Hammonds Plains, Scott, Barss Corner; great-grandchildren
Tyler and Norah Murphy. She was predeceased by her brothers
Robert, Harry and Willard “Bill”; sisters
Kathleen in infancy, Edna. There will be no visitation by
request. Funeral service 1:30pm Saturday in Emmanuel Baptist
Church of Parkdale/Maplewood, Pastor Sam Jess Officiating.
Private family Interment in Parkdale/Maplewood Community
Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial Donations
may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale/Maplewood or the
Barss Corner Community Hall. Arrangements are entrusted to
R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, where on-line condolences may be
