It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Hilda Lowell Fraser, 83 of Dayspring, on January 4th, 2019 at her home in Dayspring, surrounded by family. Born on June 8th, 1935, she was the youngest of 14 children born to the late Esson and Flora (Teal) Slauenwhite, and the last remaining sibling. Left behind to mourn her loss are her children, Kathy (John) Selig, Lake Centre; Sandy (Arthur) Hirtle, Upper Branch; Susie (Rex) Ernst, Dayspring; Sherry (Bill) Richard, Branch LaHave; Mike (Dianne) and Mark (Wanda), both of Dayspring. As well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Milton Fraser and infant son, Roger Lowell Fraser. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m., Monday, January 7 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 8 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York St., Bridgewater; Pastor Paula Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dayspring Cemetery, Dayspring. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations in Hilda’s memory may be made to S.H.A.I.D Animal Shelter. Mom loved to beautify her property and could be found all summer working on her landscape. During the winter months, she could be found working on her puzzles, or occasionally reading a good book. She loved to sit and talk with her children and especially enjoyed the many road trips she took with them. You left us with broken hearts, but also with many wonderful memories that will remain with us until we join you, Daddy and the baby you never got to hold. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, where on-line condolences may be may by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com
