Obituary for Helen Christina Krouse (Meecham)
Helen Christina Krouse (nee Meecham) passed away January 25 2019 peacefully with the sun shining on her face and surrounded by the love of her two sons. She is now reunited with her loving husband Floyd (2008) to whom she was fiercely devoted. She is survived by her sons Wayne and Kim and her daughter in law Jodi. Helen was predeceased by her daughter in law Nancy (2010), her sisters Jean, Edie, and Nellie, her brother Alfie, and her sister in law and brother in law Cliff and Eileen Oakman. She is the loving Grandma of Wendy (Robert), Megan (Kirb), and Jesse. She is also Great Grandmother to Caleb, Connor, Faith, Solomon, and Simon. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Helen was a long time resident of Fergus. She was the town dance teacher for many years, teaching hundreds of pupils and putting on many recitals. She was passionate about dancing and those were always some of her fondest memories. She was also a long time employee at Hallman’s Family Shoes. The family would like to thank Dr Westendorp, Dr Lund, the compassionate staff of Groves Memorial Hospital, and the staff of Caressant Care Retirement Home in Arthur for their excellent care. Helen was lucky to have many friends who were good to her and stood by her side.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 12:00 to 1:00pm at the Graham A Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St David St South, Fergus. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00pm on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Private family burial to follow at a later date.
