Hazel Wood
1928-2019
Hazel Wood – age 90, of the Wolfville Nursing Home, formerly
of Coldbrook, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in the Valley
Regional Hospital, Kentville. Hazel was a kind and loving mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother. She was well known for welcoming
family and friends for Sunday dinner. Hazel was a member of the
Cambridge Baptist Church. She loved all animals, especially her cat,
Maggie. She is survived by daughter, Margie Wood, Kentville;
half-sister, Idella (Gerry) Miner, Wolfville; grandson, Ryan Wood
(Andrea Banks), Greenwood; great-granddaughter, Abigail Wood. She is
predeceased by her husband, John “Jack” Wood and
son, Kenneth. Cremation has taken place. There will be no
visitation or funeral service, by request. A private graveside service
will take place in the Cambridge Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in memory may be made to the SPCA – Kings County
or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
