Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Van Stiphout, age 66, after a tough and courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy, a rare form of Parkinsons. Dearly loved husband of Karen and beloved father of Petra, and son in law of Bruna Baldassi. Cherished brother of Gerda Brock (Mel), Fran Todd (Joe), Thea Cardy (Dave), Frank Van Stiphout (Christiane), and Tina Bergl, and brother in law of Bill Baldassi (Val) and Joanne Baldassi (Michael). Dear uncle to 17 nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Let us not forget the bond between Harold and his devoted canine Lola.
Harold was a valued employee of NAK Design Strategies for 30 years until retirement in August 2017. A big thank you to the many people at NAK who were devoted to Harold.
Thanks to Thea, Fran and Bill for their support at home with Harold’s care over the past year, and special mention to Lucas (Petra’s boyfriend) for his tireless assistance and support to Harold. Thanks also to Care Partners, the Mississauga Halton LHIN, Home Instead Personal Support and many family friends and neighbours who contributed time, advice and dog care while keeping Harold at home throughout his illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society of Canada would be appreciated.
