BARON, Gustav (Gus) Philipp
Mr. Gus Baron, late of Westlock, AB, formerly of Barrhead, AB passed away on January 25, 2019 at the age of 96 years. He is survived by his loving family: wife of 25 years, Rio; 3 children, Beatrice (Bill) Yuill of Bonnyville, AB; Mark (Donna) Baron of Barrhead, AB and Jackie (Jerry) Beet of Stony Plain, AB; 3 stepchildren, Dean (Lynne) of Ladysmith, BC, Hilton of Sturgeon County, AB and York (Lorna) of Quesnell, BC; grandchildren, Jeff (Carrie), Dustin (Jenna), Jesse, Shania (Jeff), Jayden, Janaya, Jayleana, Amber, Cameron, Karleigh (Arthur), Robyn, Jonathon, Albert; great-grandchildren, Drew, Jessa, Everleigh, Jordyn and Hunter; brother and 3 sisters, Wilfred, Elsie, Evelyn and Katie; as well as extended family in Germany. Gus is predeceased by his first wife, Irmgard Baron; parents, Louie and Margaret Baron; brothers, Alfred, Henry, Louie, Valentine and Edwin.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Barrhead. Burial will take place in the church cemetery with Pastor Kevin Ree officiating. Donations are gratefully accepted directly to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Barrhead or to Smithfield Lodge in Westlock.
