1938-2018
The death of Gregory Aloysius Pickard of Piercemont occurred on
Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Upper River Valley Hospital,
Waterville. Born October 1, 1938 in Piercemont, he was the son of the
late John and Helen (Griffin) Pickard. He was also predeceased by 5
siblings James, Rita Simchen, Gerald, Raymond, Theodore, and John Jr.
Pickard.
Greg is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carmel; their 5
children Margaret, Sue (Mark Tompkins), Raymond (Lisa), Monica (Jodi
O’Neill), Stephen; 8 grandchildren, Katelyn and Luke Tompkins,
Nathaniel Pickard, Connor, Cody, Carrie and Colton O’Neill, and
Carley Pickard; 1 brother, Clarence Pickard (Theresa); sister and
brother in laws, Joyce Pickard, Lola Pickard, Edwin Guest, Sister
Monica Guest, Simon (Judy) Guest as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from
7-9 pm and Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 4, 2019 at
11:00 am from St. John the Evangelist Church, Johnville. Fr. Bill
Brennan as celebrant. The interment will be in the Johnville Cemetery
at a later date. Donations made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be
