TIMCO, Greg – Passed away peacefully on Sunday January 13, 2019 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, at the age of 61. Best friend of Elaine Ramella. Beloved and devoted father of Richard Stevens and James (Stacey) Stevens. Lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Cherished brother of Theresa (Paul) Forte, Marilynne Graham, the late Don (Cathy) Timco (2009) and Allan (Melanie) Timco. Dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Predeceased by his parents John (2002) and Eva Timco (2009). A graduate of DeVry Institute, Greg worked as a bench technician until his retirement, he was a whiz at electronics. A gentle spirit, humble and kind, Greg enjoyed music, nature, motorcycles, drives in the country to find the perfect barn (no wires in sight), dogs, bonfires and cooking. A perfect Saturday night included steak on the BBQ, tunes on the radio and a cold beer on the deck, his guitar at the ready for a sing-a-long. Saturday saw a stream of family stopping by and sharing stories as he sat in his chair, his trusty cane at his side. The cane reflected his values: it was fashioned by his friend Sean from a sturdy tree root and carved with musical notes, he hoped that some day carvings would be inlaid with mother-of-pearl. When faced with life’s challenges, he saw a thread of hope. The family would like to thank the very caring and compassionate staff at GNGH (Orange line) for their wonderful care of Greg. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Friday 11 am to 12:30 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will take place at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery.
