Obituary of Grace Gross
GRACE CATHERINE GROSS (Beam)
December 17, 1942 ~ January 25, 2019
“Only the soul that ventilates the world with tenderness has any chance of changing it.” Father Gregory Boyle
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Grace. She passed peacefully and painlessly at home, surrounded by friends and family and showered with love.
Grace leaves her two daughters Lauren Gross and Janice Bergman; Jules Gross and son Adam; sister Nancy Dmytriw, her husband Peter and daughter Amber; brother Alan Beam, his wife Janet and sons Toby and Todd and their families; brother Larry Beam, his wife Martha, daughters Jenn, Jolene, Julie, son Jeff and their families; as well as her countless number of cherished friends.
Grace was a devoted mother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved life, lived it to the fullest and anyone who met her fell in love with her. Grace taught us to always laugh, to always love, and throughout her life, mostly in her final months, that above all, to be kind to one another. She was both a lover of art and a gifted artist who started her early adulthood as a special needs school teacher and later in life became a passionate art therapist. Grace felt a strong connection to nature and reveled in any activity she could enjoy with family and friends outdoors. Her greatest love was that of people, her family, her friends and befriending individuals from all walks of life. She was constantly learning, constantly aspiring to be a better person and is a shining example of what we should all strive to be.
