Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Centre in the presence of her loving family, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, Genevieve Linehan (Power) of Admiral’s Beach, S.M.B., age 89 years. Predeceased by son, Bernard and his father Kevin; parents: David and Mary (Dobbin) Power; brothers: John Thomas, Cecil, Walter and Fr Val; sisters: Mary, Rita, Kay and Matilda. Leaving to mourn, sons: Clem (Denise), Val (Mary), Chris (Andrea), Nick (Shirley) and Doug (Tracy); daughter, Jackie (Trevor); grandchildren: Kimberley, Melanie, Jennifer, Victoria, Stephen, Jessica, Curtis, Julie, Lindsey, Keenan, Mariah, Kevin and Barry, Grace and Renee; great-grandchildren: Henry, Mallory, William, Thomas, Bria, Elijah, Seth, Roman, Nathan, Amelia and Nevaeh; brother, Ben (Betty); sister, Helen (Phonse); family friend Bernadette and special friend Joan; a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, January 27th and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, January 28th. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 29th at 11:30am. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Parish, P.O. Box 30, St. Joseph’s, S.M.B. NL A0B 3A0.
