Obituary of Douglas Taylor
TAYLOR, Douglas. Sun shines on this, the 25th of January with news beloved Douglas James Taylor has passed. Caring husband of Margaret. Loving father of Steve and his wife Bunni and Brian and his wife Maria. Kind and gentle Grandpa of Cathryn, Alyx, Jimmy, Breana and Kevin. Predeceased by his sister Barbara and his brother Hugh. Husband, Father, Grandfather he will be greatly missed. He spent his life educating all those around him starting with elementary school in Coppercliff. His career flourished; moving to Cooksville, then Connaught High School in Ottawa and finishing at the High School of Commerce while administrating ESL to New Canadians at night. Active in the community, his passions included Christmas Cheer at Rideau Park United Church in Ottawa, Meals on Wheels, The Prostate Gurus and a warm welcome to the St. James and St. Brendan Church in Port Colborne. He will be remembered on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne from 2-4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. James and St. Brendan Anglican Church with The Reverend Canon David Linn officiating on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial remembrances to Sleeping Children Around the World or St. James and St. Brendan Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
