Surrounded by family and friends, Douglas Wayne Willard passed away on January 28, 2019 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 67 years.
Doug was born to Jack & Elsie Willard on October 29, 1951 in Vulcan, Alberta. He worked as an educator and vocational counsellor for 39 years. Doug was known for his gregarious personality, sense of humour and love of travel. He lived overseas and travelled the world as a global citizen for over 22 years. Doug expressed the peace he felt with his life, and his passing was truly as beautifully unique as his life.
His wishes are to celebrate his life privately amongst close family.
Doug is survived by his daughters, Sylvie Croteau-Willard (Jerry Chou and grand-daughter Olive Chou), and Joëlle Croteau-Willard (Calvin Simpson); his siblings, Noreen Cameron (Allan Moore), and Blake Willard (Shelley Repka-Willard); as well as his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Elsie Willard; his sister, Debbe Bartley; brother-in-law, Noël Bartley; and great nephew Justin Belanger.
