BARRETT, Dorothy Elizabeth – Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre in Guelph, on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Dorothy Elizabeth (née Krusky) Barrett, age 96 years, was the beloved wife of the late William Edward Barrett (1978). Loving mother of William “Bill” (Odessa), Blake, Brian (Debbie), Brenda (Rick Williamson), Kevin (Jane) and Karen (Terry Grignon). Dorothy is the cherished and proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is the dear sister of Basil Krusky, Mary Fowlie, Allan Krusky and Valerie Cutting. Dorothy was predeceased by her siblings Raymond Krusky, Ruth Kerr, Geraldine Withers and Jack Krusky. She will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. Special thanks and appreciation to the staff of St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre for the excellent care given to Dorothy throughout her stay there.
Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. A vigial for Dorothy will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:30p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 10a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre, the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate or to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
