Obituary of Dennis Anderson
ANDERSON, Dennis Patrick Joseph – Age 65, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving father and brother, Dennis Anderson, who passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019 in Truro surrounded by family.
Born in Antigonish and raised in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Philip “Teddy” Anderson and Mary Elizabeth (Diggins) Anderson. Surviving are his daughter, Ashley (Mike) Maxwell, Timberlea; sisters, Carolyn MacBean, New Glasgow; Natalie Camm, Fall River; June Anne (Darren) Archibald, Canmore, AB; brothers, Gerard and David both of Truro; Donald (Barb), Spryfield; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a niece.
Visitation 7-9 p.m., Friday, January 11 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. Funeral mass will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, January 12 in Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bridgewater. Father Jim O’Connor officiating.
Private family burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Mental Health Foundation. The family would like to thank staff from VON, continuing care and the palliative care team for their care and compassion.
