Obituary of Dakota Clutton
May 19, 1988-January 15, 2019
Age 30
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Son, Brother and Uncle on January 15, 2019. Dakota passed away peacefully after a long battle with mental illness.
Dakota was well known for his love of golf and his commitment to that led him to the Brent Morrison Golf Academy in Qualicum Beach where he also completed his high school education. In Dakota’s adult life he worked in the oilfield industry where he formed some strong friendships.
He was a joy to his two nieces and truly knew how to play with a child. Reese & Piper learned from “Uncle Coda” how to dismantle a couch into a fort and where the best hide and seek hiding spots were.
Dakota was pre-deceased by his Paternal Grandfather, Cliff Clutton. He leaves to mourn his Mother and Father, Val & George Clutton of Grande Prairie, Sister Phoenix Clutton (Ryan Simpson), treasured nieces Reese Routhier & Piper Routhier of Swan Lake, Manitoba, Grandparents Ron & Gwen Bond of Valleyview, AB and Phyllis Clutton of Blue Sky, AB, and his ever loved “Kitty”.
A Celebration of Life for Dakota will be held on Saturday February 2 at 1:30 pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home/Richmond Reception Centre 11802 99 Ave Grande Prairie AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
