The Lord has called home His child, Clarence (Klaas) Posthumus born June 14, 1935, Hantumhuizen Friesland, The Netherlands, departed January 25, 2019, Brampton, ON. Beloved husband and partner of Ann (Antje) Posthumus for 62 years. Father of George and Luanne Posthumus, Stirling, ON., Andy Posthumus and Katie Walker, Edmonton, AB., his much loved and sorely missed daughter, Diana Crandall (late, 2010) and her husband Robert (late, 2008), Welland, ON., Ed Posthumus and Brenda Goettler, Calgary, AB., and Stan Posthumus and Val, Dunnville, ON. Dear son of the late Sjoerd (1991) and Teakje (Greijdanus) Posthumus (1939), beloved stepson of Dirkje (Terpstra) Posthumus (1980). Son in Law of the late Oane DeBeer (1995), Dirkje (Visser) DeBeer (1965).
Brother and Brother in Law of Sjoerdtje and the late Mark deHoop (1996), late Jaap (2008) and Annke Posthumus, Eke and the late Jan Kroese (2003). Reinou and the late Siep Wiersma , Fred and Margaret DeBeer, Sylvia and Sid Weening, Tina and Bill VanderVelde, Nancy and the late Joe VanderKooi (2001), the late Mike (2019) and Rose DeBeer, Susan and Jim
Verkaik, the late Dorothy Bell (DeBeer, 2014), Maria and Paul Cassidy, Francis DeBeer and Kevin Hebb, Andy and Jean DeBeer. Pake of 21 and counting and Oerpake of eight and counting.
Ann would like to thank Dr. J Pereire, Dr. R Meyer and their staffs for the exceptional treatment Clarence received. The staff at Credit Valley Hospital were generous and kind while Clarence was in their care. Anne is also grateful for and would like to thank all the staff at Holland Christian Homes.
Visitation Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cross Point CRC, 444 Steeles Avenue, Brampton. L6Y 0J3.
Interment at 11:00 a.m. at The Brampton Cemetery, 10 Wilson Avenue, Brampton, L6V 1T5.
Memorial service 2 p.m., Heritage Hall, Holland Christian Homes, 7900 McLaughlin Rd., Brampton, L6Y 5P2.
