Bill Needham
Passed away at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the age of 70. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Patricia Needham and sister Bonnie Lawrence (Tom). Bill will be dearly missed by sister Judy Willock (John), brother Mike (Nancy) and brother-in-law Tom Lawrence. He was a proud uncle of Jeff and Teresa Willock, Joe Lawrence, and Mark, Chris, Kevin and Andrew Needham. Bill was also known as “Uncle Bill” to many great-nieces and nephews, and to extended family and friends. Bill leaves behind a legacy of community involvement and friendship through various organizations, and was awarded the Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 2012. Bill was a passionate supporter of local sports and dedicated his life to coaching. He will be deeply missed by the kids and adults that he has coached over the years. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 934 Highway 8, Winona on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial contributions to the MS Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
