It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of William Francis Brown which occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019. Born 1941, in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late Erin Joseph and Mary Clarissa (Oliver) Brown. In his earlier years, Bill served in the Navy and worked as a Policeman for the City of Saint John. He also worked as an Electrician for the Dry Dock, Syncrude Canada Ltd. where he was a member of the Fire & Rescue Crew, Point Lepreau, Irving Frigate Program and the School Board. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and he especially loved his beagle dogs.
Bill is survived by his loving and devoted spouse Jeanette (Arsenault) of Saint John; daughters Tracey Adkins (Bryan) of Tennessee, Deanna Brown of Saint John; brothers Stephen Brown (Martha) of Chipman, NB, Greg Brown (Mary Ann) of Fredericton, NB, Robert Brown (Carmel) of Alberta, Erin “Buddy” Brown (Maxine) of Alberta; sisters Sheila Chipman (Jerry) of Montana, Susan Brown of Virginia, Sarah MacLean (David) of Nova Scotia; grandchildren Bryan, Bailey and Alec; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister Carol Styger.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with a Memorial Service taking place at the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Friday, January 25th at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Rocmaura Palliative Care or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
