Obituary of Biaggio Letterio
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at North York General Hospital in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Velma (nee Weavers) for 58 years. Loving father of Don (Lynne), Bill (Jennifer), George (Michelle), Elizabeth (Paul) Campbell, and Linda. Cherished Nono of Michael, Heather (Colder), Denise (Paul), Holly, Jesse, Blaise, Rocco, Mary Elizabeth, Stephen, George, Danielle, Andrew, Allison, and John Paul and great-grandfather of Eleanor, Fionn, and Aiden. Bill was a well known lawyer in Toronto for 60 years. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel for his dedicated work in the Italian community, including the Italian Immigrant Aid and Past President of the Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association. Bill was a loving, giving, caring, and sharing individual who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 and Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home ( 6150 Yonge St .). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Ave.). Interment Mount Hope Cemetery .
