CALVERT, Beatrice (Betty) Nina
1921-2019
The family announces with deep sadness the passing of Betty Calvert (née Fournier) on 22 January 2019 at the age of 97.
Predeceased by parents W.A. (Gus) and Grace (Sansom), brother Claude, sister Joan and her dear husbands Joseph Hawley, Alfred Gaunt and Hugh Calvert. Betty is survived by her sister Marjorie, daughter JoAnne, son Alex, cherished daughter-in-law Brenda, two grandchildren Julia (Jim) Chronopoulos and Alana (Jonathan) Hawley Purvis, and five great-grandchildren.
Known to her nieces and nephews as “Aunt Bette” and to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Nanny”, Betty is lovingly remembered by family and many others for her passion for gardening and golf, and for her love of life and family. The family especially thanks the staff at Brooks Landing where Betty spent the latter years of her life in great contentment.
A funeral service will be held on a future date. In lieu of other tributes donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
