Obituary of Bessie Pauline Smith (nee Dafoe)
Following a brief illness, Bessie passed away peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital on Monday, December 31, 2018, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Lavern Smith for 61 years and loving mother of Angela Scurr (Bryan) of Napanee, Tim Smith (Bonnie) of Roblin, Charlotte Brown (Al McMullen) of Napanee and Christopher Smith of Roblin. Predeceased by her son-in-law Andy Brown. Cherished grandmother of Shannon Rombough (Richie), Wade Scurr (Shannon), Ashley Brown (Lee Richardson) and Michelle Lyman (Matt). Proud great grandmother of Paige, Jaide, Janea, Dakota, Ireland, Finley, Henson and Mcgregor. Survived by her brother Dale Dafoe (Sandra) and predeceased by her sister Beverly Wales. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Selby Hall on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 1 – 4 p.m. For those desiring, memorial donations to the L&A Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
