Diemert, Barbara Anne:
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019 at Lisaard House at the age of 81.
Beloved wife of the late Marvin (2003).
Loving mother of Brian (Monika Lee), Grant (Virginia), Darryl, and Mary (Sean Harrington).
Cherished grandma of Anna, Natasha, Simon, Ellen, Joanne, Sarah, Carolyn, Laura and John.
Predeceased by her dear sister Bonnie (John) Malleck.
Will be missed by her furry friend Rudy.
Barbara’s generous nature and her skill as a leader resulted in her avid participation in many ministries established to help others. She will be greatly missed by so many in the community. In addition, she was very fond of books, movies, live theatre and concerts, and eager to travel.
Barbara’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Friday, January 18th, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church 49 Blueridge Avenue Kitchener on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at 11:00 am. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of Barbara’s caregivers at her home and especially those at Lisaard House.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hospice of Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
