September 7, 1933 – January 9, 2019
Anne Paulovich, resident of Grande Prairie, AB., passed away on January 9, 2019 at Mackenzie Place at the age of 85 years.
Anne was born in Northstar, Alberta on September 7, 1933 to Peter and Alexandra (Sauda) Hudema. Anne was raised in Deadwood with her siblings Steve, Mike, Fred, Andrew, Mary, Helen, Doris, Cecile, John and George. Anne married William Paulovich on July 22, 1954 and they had one child, son Lorie in 1960. They resided in the Northstar area before moving to Edmonton in 1971 and then to St. Albert in 1977 where they eventually retired. In 1991 they moved to Grande Prairie where they continued their retirement and where their new home became a gathering place for friends and family. Anne worked hard on their family farm in Northstar and had opportunity to give back to the community as the president of the Ladies League. When living in Edmonton, Anne worked for several years at a Medical Clinic before concluding her career at the St. Albert Safeway Bakery. She was well known for her outstanding skills in the garden and kitchen. Many friends and family were treated to her delicious hand made cabbage rolls and perogies.
Anne will be greatly missed by her son Lorie of Grande Prairie, and brothers Fred and Andrew, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2013.
A Memorial Service will take place at 1100 hrs. on January 30, 2019 at Bear Creek Funeral Home/Richmond Reception Centre located at 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie, AB.
